Stenhousemuir 3-3 Brechin- Match Report




City fight back

Brechin fought back from two goals down against Stenhousemuir to earn a point in a 3-3 thriller which saw two men sent off.

The visitors took the lead after six minutes when Alan Trouten fired home from the edge of the box.

Mark Corcoran tucked away Greg Ross' cross from six yards out to bring the sides level after 20 minutes.

The Warriors took the lead when a mix up in the Brechin defence saw Graham Hay prod the ball past his own goalkeeper and into the net.

The hosts extended their lead after 63 minutes when Mark Corcoran fed the ball to John Gemmell and he volleyed home from 20 yards.

The Hedgemen got back in it when Ewan Moyes poked the ball into the top-right of the goal from David McKenna's cross.

David McKenna completed the comeback seven minutes later when his 25-yard strike flew into the top corner.

City went down to 10 men with eight minutes left when Gary Fusco was shown a second yellow before Gemmell picked up a straight red in stoppage time for an elbow Hay.
