For the second week in a row the Warriors ran out 6-0 winners as they celebrated their first league win at Ochilview Park since January.

However, East Stirling started well and could have opened the scoring in the third minute, but Chris Baldwin's shot was well saved by home keeper William McCulloch.

Stenhousemuir took the lead in the tenth minute in the simplest of fashions, with Paul McGrillen beating David Harvey before slipping the ball back to Martin Lauchlan who fired home.

For most of the first half the Warriors were well on top but the visitors threatened to equalise in the 40th minute when Derek Ure's shot flashed just wide.

The second half started with the home side going two-up after 48 minutes when a Lauchlan cutback found Joseph Savage 15 yards out and he drilled the ball past Tony Mitchell.

The Warriors came close once again when a Steve Kerrigan header hit the crossbar, but they were not to be denied for long as Savage scored his second goal a minute later, latching onto a William McCulloch kick out before scoring at the second attempt.

Even the culinary expertise of Nigella Lawson could not have come up with anything as sweet as the free-kick struck by John-Paul McBride to make it 4-0.

As time was running out McGrillen scored from close range before Savage ended the game with a well-deserved hat-trick, which was the first of his senior career.
