Stenhousemuir V Arbroath at Ochilview Park - Match Preview

Warriors wait on McKinlay

Stenhousemuir will give Kevin McKinlay a late check following a calf injury as they host Arbroath and look for a win to kick-start their play-off push.

The Warriors hopes of a three point success have been boosted by the availability of striker John Gemmell after three months out with an ankle injury and the permanent signing of David Rowson following his release from Partick Thistle.

Eric Paton will miss out with manager Martyn Corrigan saying: "A win over Arbroath gets us right back into things in terms of moving up towards a play-off place.

"The games between the sides have been tight all season but we will take confidence from the last meeting where, despite scoring late, on we more than deserved a point."

Arbroath will have Scott Morrison back for the first time since the goalkeeper damaged his wrist during December's Scottish Cup replay against Celtic.

Kieran Brennan, Joe Prince-Wright and Darren Gribben all left the club this week as player/manager Paul Sheerin freshened up his squad in a bid to find consistency.

Sheerin said: "We played well to defeat Forfar last weekend but too often this season we have followed up a good performance with a disappointing one.

"That inconsistency has hurt us and hopefully we can show against Stenhousemuir that we can be successful from tough games for two weeks running.

"A win would help consolidate our play-off place so a three point return from this game would be great."
