Stenhousemuir V Stranraer at Ochilview Park - Match Preview

Reid all about it

Stenhousemuir have brought in Dundee midfielder Jamie Reid on loan until the end of the season and he has gone straight into manager Martyn Corrigan's squad for the visit of Stranraer.

The Warriors again miss Eric Paton and John Gemmell through ankle injuries but Reid's addition and Andy Rodgers being fit enough to start has pleased Corrigan.

"This is the strongest squad we have had since the start of the season," he said.

"Injuries have cleared up and we have added to the pool so I am looking forward to the Stranraer game.

"They have decent players and have been playing really well recently but we have the chance of building on a good win over Forfar last week.

"Two wins in a row has to be our aim."

Stranraer could be short of attacking options as Armand One is a major doubt with a hamstring injury and Michael Moore is suffering from a foot problem.

Front man Max Wright was released by the club this week but Stair Park manager Stephen Aitken remains upbeat.

"We will make a call just before kick-off and hopefully one of the guys will make it," he said.

"We have been playing well recently and the task for the players now is to turn good performances into points.

"Stenhousemuir were on a disappointing run until their win over Forfar last weekend but we know that if we win this one it sucks them right back into things at the foot of the table."
